The Odeon of Anemurium is one of the best preserved Odeons in Turkey. In its present form it dates from the 2nd century AD. The seat stones were used for the construction of the Mamure Kalesi castle complex, as were those of the theatre.
It is remarkable that the cavea is not divided into kerkides (wedge-shaped fields), which would indicate a Bouleuterion.
