Ancient Odeons and Bouleuterions in Turkey

The Odeon struck into the mountain ridge dates from the Hellenistic period. Hardly anything of the city's former town hall has survived the centuries. Only a few large blocks of the foundation and a small rest of the right side wall and the upper retaining wall escaped the use of the building as a quarry. The marble seating steps of the cavea were removed in post-Byzantine times and used for lime production.
